Screenwriter and Director David Lynch, who passed away on January 16, 2025, has been named the recipient of the Writers Guild of America West’s 2025 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement. The Guild states he was aware of the honor and accepted several weeks before his passing. It will be presented at the WGA Awards ceremony
