‘Mr. Irrelevant:’ Patriots select Kobee Minor with last pick in 2025 NFL Draft

Kobee Minor is the “Mr. Irrelevant” of the NFL Draft of 2025. New England patriots selected Memphis’s defensive with selection 257 and final to close the official draft this year.

Minor began his university career in Texas Tech, where he played for three years. Then he transferred to Indiana for the 2023 season before his final stop at Memphis last year. In 2024, Minor ended with high -tacle race maximums (38), losses for losses (7), captures (2), defended passes (4) and forced loose balls (2).

Field Marshal Brock Purdy, who was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the last selection in 2022, is widely considered as the most famous Mr. Irrelevant “in the history of the NFL. It is now in line for an extension that could make it one of the 10 best paid league quarters.

Previously in the Draft, New England selected the offensive Tackle of LSU Will Campbell at number 4, the Ohio state corridor, Treveyon Henderson, at number 38, the open receiver of the state of Washington, Kyle Williams, at number 69 and the offensive line of Georgia, Jared Wilson in number 95, among other selections.

The NFL 2026 draft will be in Pittsburgh, home of the Steelers.
