A Smokey Robinson lawyer said Wednesday night that the accusations of sexual assault against the Motown singer were “vile” and “false” and that a lawsuit filed by the four women who made the accusations was an attempt to extract millions of dollars.
The women worked as housewives of Mr. Robinson, and their demand drives him to abuse them doxes of time. The demand, which identifies women only as Jane, from 1 to 4, says that Mr. Robinson raped them repeatedly while his wife, Frances, who is coacked, turned a blind eye.
In a statement proven to New York Times, Mr. Robinson’s lawyer, Christopher Frost called for demand, “an ugly method of trying to extract money from an 85 -year -old American icon.”
“We ask anyone who follows this case that reserves the trial as the evidence comes to light and all the real facts of the case are developed,” Frost said.
The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday at the Superior Court of Los Angeles, says that three of the women feared to inform Mr. Robinson to the authorities due to their immigration state. “As workers with low wages in vulnerable positions, they lacked the necessary resources and options to protect themselves from sexual aggressions through their mandate as the employees of the Robinson,” said his lawyer, John Harris on Tuesday.
The demand goes into graphic details about abuse statements.
Mr. Robinson, alleges, would leave his wife in a nail hall and hurry home to assault one of the women while he was alone in Robinson’s house in Chatsworth, a neighborhood from Los Angeles.
A second woman, says the demand, was sexually assaulted at least 23 times the duration of the six years she worked for the Robinson, from 2014 to 2020.
The demand says that a third woman, who worked for the Robinson from 2012 to 2024, was assaulted at least 20 times. The fourth plaintiff, who says she worked for the couple from 2006 to April 2024, said Mr. Robinson sexually assaulted her at Chatsworth house and in several of her other houses.
Women’s lawyers have not said if their clients intend to present criminal charges. A spokesman for the department of the Los Angeles County Sheriff, who covers the area where the demand indicates that the assaults occurred, said he had not opened an investigation.
In his statement, Mr. Frost said that he and his legal team soon dismissing the lawsuit and that “he would have more to say about this matter.”
