“X is aware that some of our users are experienced performance problems on the platform today,” writes the X engineering account. “We have experience in an interruption of the data center and the team is actively working to remedy the problem.” The platform last experienced an important interruption in March 2025. At that time, the CEO of X, Elon Musk, blamed the interruption of a “mass cyber attack.” Security researchers who analyzed the issue later said it was a bad security by X that left the company’s servers vulnerable to the attack.
