Axle Health, a home medical care technology company, has obtained $ 10 million in series A.

F-First risk companies, and Combinator, Pear VC and LightBank lead the round. Axle plans to use funds to improve the programming and routing algorithms of EXLA AI, develop generative solutions for the patient participation and expand their engineering and operations equipment.

“The health care industry is experiencing a significant change towards home care, promoted by the change in patient preferences, care initiatives based on value and advances in remote monitoring technologies,” said Axle Health CEO, Adam Stensell, in a statement. “With this investment, we are well positioned to meet the growing demand for home medical care through supplier equipment with the technological infrastructure necessary for efficient operations.”

Founded in 2020 and based in Los Angeles, Axle Health’s AI software aims to help health health agencies to deploy doctors for home visits efficiently in the search or improve the results of patients and reduce operating costs. In 2024, the company raised $ 4.2 million in a round of initial funds led by Pear VC and Trac VC.

The Axle platform, developed by an Uber Technologies experience, analyzes data points such as traffic patterns, supplier credentials, patient needs and geographical factors to improve and identify possible challenges.

Technology allows suppliers to automatically coincide with patients with doctors, adapt to cancellations or delays, redirect workers in real time and reduce manual programming in 70%approach, according to the company’s website. Patients receive automatized reminders and estimated arrival times through text messages or telephone calls and can confirm appointments or leave comments using the platform.

“Taking care of patients at home in the midst of limited clinical resources and administrative complexity is a challenge that I have found firsthand,” said Julia McDowell, a risk partner of F-Prime. “Axle is addressing the urgent problems faced by home suppliers daily.”
