Opengov has been investing largely in AI to improve government operations

Opengov, the leading software provider in the modern cloud and enabled for AI for state and local governments of the United States, announced the opening of its new office in Pune, India. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the most effective and responsible Opengov Opengov mission through technology.

The new office was inaugurated by Thiago Sá Freire (President and COO), Terrence Curley (Chief of Staff, R&D) and Rama Jayanti (MD and SVP, R&D). “We see India as a critical part of Opengov’s future,” said Thiago Sa Freire. He added: “With his deep group of talents and his prosperous technology ecosystem, Pune has become an essential innovation center for our product development, partly in areas where we are taking advantage of AI.”

Opengov has been investing largely in artificial intelligence (AI) to improve government operations. In February 2025, the company acquired Ignatius, a low -code dynamic platform that automates the public sector forms and workflows, which allows the creation of personalized applications. This acquisition strengthens Opengov’s ability to offer solutions that rationalize processes and promote efficiency for local and state governments.

“The next great wave of innovation develops with AI, and is impacting everything, from the way we work to the way in which governments interact with their residents,” Rama Jayanti, MD and SVP of Research and Development in Opengov said. “This is the world that Opengov is creating in association with our customs.”

Located in the Sai Radhe complex, Sangamwadi, Pune, the new office will serve for innovation, collaboration and talent development. With the vibrant technological ecosystem and the qualified workforce, Pune is an ideal place for the continuous growth of Opengov.
