ATENS, Greece – The Archbishop of the Church of Greece, Ionymo II of Athens, told Breitbart News exclusively that he is excited that President Donald Trump won the elections last year and believes that Trump is a force for good in the world.
Ionymo II, in the strange interview, spoke through a translator when he sat with Breitbart News last week in his office in Athens. He said that Trump’s vision on economic and cultural issues is a good vision, but he also warned that Trump should be careful to prevent the world from becoming the war. The powerful words of a key religious leader who supervises the Greek Orthodox Church in Athens and throughout Greece come in the mid -Holy Week.
This year is also a strange year in which Easter Sunday falls the same day, next Sunday, both in the Catholic and Orthodox churches.
“President Trump’s election was a positive development,” said the archbishop. “I would like to tell you that we need a change, such as the reforms that you are trying to implement, but the reforms we can and should and should, for example, when the American relationship with China changes throughout the opposite and opposite, it could be a kulde kulde, it could be a could be one could be a could be a could be a could be a koulte boultte -Eagita to the position, could be a powerful to one.

Matthew Boyle, head of the Washington Office of Breitbart News Network, sat with the Archbishop of Athens and leader of the Orthodox Church of Greece, Ionymo II, for an exclusive and wide interview in the Greek capital.
The church of Greece, part of the widest Orthodox Church or the Greek Orthodox Church, is a massive organization. Ionymo II supervises more than 100 bishops and more than 8,500 priests. There are more than 15 Million Church of Grece Members Estimated in Grece and Worldwide Through Grece’s Diaspora, and it’s a Critical Part of the Broader International Eastern Orthodox Church Network and Huge Population Assail As afore Eastern Asludn’s Alleudn’s Asludns Aslwork of Eastern Asludn’s Asludn. Throughout the world, it is estimated that hundreds of millions of members of the Orthodox Church, near or possible of more than 300 million people. It is the second largest Christian communion throughout the world after the Catholic Church.
Ionymo II also said when it comes to cultural problems, such as transgender madness, the United States is currently Blancura, that Trump is guiding the world away from radical madness.
“In Greece, same -sex marriage has not been accepted by a large part of society,” said Ionymo II. “We believe in human freedom, but that does not mean extreme actions and manifestations or activism that greatly cause people. We cannot and we should not force politicians to vote for something with which they fond. Trump’s victory came and the president made it clear that there are only two genres and we noticed that many global leaders and EU leaders began to repeat the same argument.”
In general, Ionymo II said that President Trump praises, he also urges the president to have caution because things are counterproductive, then the radical left can return to power.
“In many ways, I congratulate him and I think he is benefiting the world,” the archbishop continued. “But you also need to show some restriction. People fear that if things go wrong, we could return to hard times. President Trump must be aware of the needs of the planned person and that this role plays well. Support and strength for people. They believe they can positively contribute to the world.”
Trump, who survived two murder attempts last year, has been discussed in recent months how he has approached God since then.
“Honestly, he changed … something in me,” Trump said at the national prayer breakfast earlier this year, describing his survival after receiving a shot last summer in Pennsylvania. “I feel stronger. I believed in God, but I feel much stronger about it; something happened.”

IONONYMO II also told Breitbart News that he is seeing a great surge in Greece interested in faith and active in the Church. He said and other leaders of the Orthodox Church have bones that have active discussions on how to read this movement. It is a global phenomenon that is not exclusive to Greece, since the Wall Street Journal, for example, in 2023 also reported a massive increase in faith among young people in the United States as well.
“It is true that the unnoticed are miracles if this phenomenon we are seeing is a real increase or simply a passing trend,” Archbishop told Breitbart News. “The Greeks have recently gone through difficult times, and many resorted to different types of search. And the truth is that much of the responsibility lies in political parties and ideologies. You can clearly see it in young people, especially after they finish primary school. Today’s youth are search. We did, and what we saw exactly because of what we are looking for constantly, and what we are looking for, and what we seek more justice, and what we are looking for, and what we look for more justice, and what we seek more justice, and what we are looking for.
