Murder charges filed in fatal Concord shooting

The 27 -year -old Pittsburg man faces murder positions in relation to a fatal shooting on Monday, police said.

The shots exploded around 3 in the morning near the intersection of Monument Boulevard and Regaganti Drive, according to the Concord Police Department. The officers arrived to find the victim, identified as Omar González, who suffered at least one gunshot wound.

The medical staff spoke him dead at the scene.

Detectives identified Chance Martin as a suspect in the fatal shooting. On Wednesday, the detectives served arrest orders in Antioch and pleasant Hill and arrested him.

The shooting seemed derived from a dispute in which Martin was involved with a group of people in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Monument Boulevard, according to the police.

Martin moved away but returned shortly after and opened fire against the group from the window of his car, police said. One of the bullets hit and killed González.

On Friday, the detectives presented the case to the Office of the District Prosecutor of County against Costa, which accused Martin of Murder, according to the Police. Martin remains in Custody at Martínez’s detention center.
