Volvo Group is prepared to dismiss up to 800 workers in three US sites in the coming months in the midst of uncertainty about how the tariff policy of President Donald Trump will affect the lawsuit, Reuters reported.

The Swedish truck manufacturer has informed staff that it will reduce 550 to 800 jobs in its Mack Trucks factory, Pennsylvania, and two Volvo facilities in Dublin, Virginia, and Hagersstown, Maryland, the agency, citing the company.

Volvo needs to align production with a reduced demand from his vehicles, Reuters told a spokesman. The Swedish employment of almost 20,000 people in North America, according to their website.

Trump tariffs are wreaking havoc in an industry that faces growing costs and supply chain, divided education.
