At the moment when very high temperatures have left manufacturers in a concern about the possible slowdown in production, the Ministry of Labor and Employment has advised all states and UTS to guarantee effective measures to reduce the impact of extreme heat waves in workers and workers who participate in different sectors.

In a letter addressed to the main secretaries and administrators of all states and UTS, secretary, ministry of labor and employment, emphasized the need to issue instructions to occupants/employers/construction companies/industries to undertake the workers of Mitigigigigers, said the minister of the Union, Mansukh Mandaviya.

Instructions to issue

The letter also advised that instructions are issued to the administrations of the mine and the factory to allow a slower work pace, flexible schedules, crew of two characters of extreme duration, adequate ventilation in underground mines, said the statement.

In addition to factories and mines, he emphasized special attention to be borrowed from construction and brick oven workers and the need for generalized dissemination of information to workers on ways of protecting themselves from extreme heat conditions in Labgh consciousness

The Ministry has also issued instructions to its organizations to carry out awareness sessions and include specific modules in their training programs focused on educating workers on the causes and impact of heat waves, recognizing heat stress, preventive strategy.

The conformity with the Ministry, hospitals and dispensaries under DGLW and ESIC has also been attached to establish dedicated desks to take care of the cases of stroke of heat and guarantee an adequate supply of ORS, ice packages and other material for prevention of heat diseases.
