NPCI’s BHIM app goes live on UPI Circle feature

The Bhim Payments application, backed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), said today that it launched the ‘UPI Circle’ function in the updated version or its mobile application, according to a statement.

UPI Circle allows an UPI account holder to authorize up to five secondary users to start UPI payments from their account. Each transaction initiated by the secondary user requires an explicit approach to the primary user through its UPI pin in the new Bhim application. All transactions made by secondary users are visible to the main user in real time within the new Bhim application, ensuring transparency and supervision.

“UPI Circle is available in the latest version of the new Bhim Payments application (version 4.0.2) as part of the update, which also includes features such as divided expenses, family mode, spend a board board, multilingual support and an Aser Aser application. Application of payments, offering safe, scalable and inclusive solutions that admit the digital transformation of India,” the statement said the statement.
