It’s not Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but Disney Jollywood Nights is.

    -

Disney Jollywood Nights, a brand-new holiday attraction at Walt Disney World, is not to be confused with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in a different location.

As I discovered on opening nights, the after-hours events are just as unique as the parks itself, from theming to audience to special experiences.

“The purpose of Bollywood Nights is not to rival. According to Tom Vazzana, senior creative director of Disney live entertainment at Disney World, “it’s actually meant to enhance.” “I believe the same guests would enjoy both, but you have this option right now.”

Here are some things visitors should know about Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ newest Christmas event.

Dressing up for a night out, Jollywood Nights draws significantly on Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ vintage Tinseltown feel.

“Bring your closest pals along. Given that it’s geared a little more toward young adults and adults, you might want to consider leaving the kids at home, according to Vazzana. “But we made sure there was something for the kids, too, if you want to bring them along.”

On launch night, Jollywood Nights’ two new event-only shows as well as live music events at various additional venues were packed.

“I’m a big song-and-dance, Broadway show kind of guy, so I thought we should do a simple variety show at the Theater of the Stars after ‘Beauty and the Beast’ runs,” Vazzana remarked.
Mickey and Minnie, Tiana and Belle, Miss Piggy, and Kermit the Frog are among the performers during Disney Holidays in Hollywood. There are four showtimes during the evening, but unlike stage plays in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, there is a restricted amount of seating available.

Those who want a better view ought to arrive early to get in line. Likewise, with What’s This? The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along hosted by Tim Burton at the Hyperion Theater. There are four showtimes available as well, although seating is more restricted, and like anything associated with “Nightmare Before Christmas,” demand is high.
“We want to see more Tim Burton,” our guests have been saying for a very long time, Vazzana remarked.

I didn’t watch “Nightmare Before Christmas” because I’m not a fan, but I did so to give others who are, priority. Additionally, I did not attend Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, the concluding Christmas fireworks, laser, and projection extravaganza, since it had begun to rain and I had forgotten to pack a poncho or umbrella.

But I did get a peek inside the Hollywood Brown Derby, which opens nightly as a piano bar with food and beverages only available during the event and an hours-long wait list. When I visited, the jazz guitarist was taking a break, but when I went to the bustling Holiday Fiesta en la Calle and the swinging Tip Top Club in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror courtyard, the live bands were performing.

Disney Jollywood Nights: Are they worth it?
Disney Jollywood Nights tickets are not inexpensive. For visitors aged three and up, they cost between $159 and $179, which is roughly equivalent to regular Hollywood Studios entrance during the event’s days.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets are available for $159 to $199 for attendees ten years of age and beyond, and for $149 to $189 for those under the age of nine.
You get far less time at the parks for the money. But in those short hours, you can ride as much—if not more—than you would on a typical park day because there are seldom, if any, wait waits. If your primary goal is to ride rides, then both events are well worth attending.
