Pepsico said Thursday that India was among the key markets that led the growth of their international beverage and snack businesses in the first quarter of CY2025.
“Our international beverage business had a good performance and delivered an organic income growth of 11 percent. Growth was driven by performance in China, India, Egypt, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Australia,” the snacks and headquarters based in the United States.
The company added that its international food business offered an organic income growth of 2 percent in the quarter of March. “The growth was driven by Brazil, India, Egypt and Türkiye,” added the company.
In the company call, the company’s senior management said: “The international business continues to be the largest growth engine for the company, and we continue to invest in that business … We are seeing that Europe sails quite well. The first signs that we have positive watching Brazil in a good place.
Indian Pepsico has constantly expand its manufacturing capacity of snacks in India. The company is planning to establish a snack plant in Mannacherai in Tamil Nadu. Earlier this month, the State Corporation for Industrial Promotion of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) has assigned 27.96 acres from land to Pepsico in the Industrial Park to establish a snack plant.
In 2023, the company announced the creation of a plant in Assam with an investment of ₹ 778 million rupees. It is likely that this works in operation in 2025 or early 2026. In the past, it has made important investments in the creation and expansion of one of its largest green field food plants in Uttar Pradesh.
