Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals has signed a memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Agricultural University Tamil Nadu (TNAU) to jointly advance research and development in pharmaceutical formals.
As part of this association, Akums and Tnau will collaborate to strengthen research through shared experience and innovative agricultural solutions, promoting innovation in the development of the formulation. According to a statement, the Food Processing and Engineering Department in AEC & RI, TNAU, will explore new agri -based input applications for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical use, with an approach to sustainable resources derived from plants.
Akums will contribute extensive experience in pharmaceutical development to complement Tnau avant -garde agricultural research. The Association will also provide industrial training and internship opportunities, offering students practical experience in pharmaceutical processing and formulation techniques. In addition, Akums will collaborate with the Institute for Research and Research of the College of Agricultural Engineering (AEC & RI), Kumulur, to explore the commercialization of innovative formulations for national and international markets. This will be carried out as part of the PCR project sponsored by ICAR in Secondary Agriculture (SA), funded by Ciphet, Ludhiana.
TNAU will support this initiative coordinating research activities, supervising the technical aspects of new products and guaranteeing collaboration without problems between the University Research Teams and the AKUMS. The University will also facilitate capacity construction programs by involving dedicated research partners.
