Two weeks ago we told you that something new would arrive in Glossier, and now the cat is out of the bag: Glossier, Doux and Rêve, they are finally here. Glossier called Eau de Parfum Frank Feelkl to build the new aromas, and then ITG called him to talk about that. But first, we had some fragrance questions in general, such as the hell becomes a person in a professional fragrance manufacturer? As Hey Use aromas? And how, in the era of so many people who discover fragrances only through the Internet, can a person know if the purchase of blindness of an aroma? Then Frank in his own words about how he got into business, his personal fragrance preferences and what he thinks about the newest aromas of Glossier.

“To be a great perfume, you must be really passionate about.

It all started when he was a teenager, when he lived in Paris. I got into fragrance without even knowing that there are people who create them. And then, at the time I discovered, I thought, ok, that’s what I want to do. A friend of my parents knew about [ISIPCA, the world’s leading fragrance institute] And he told me that if I am interested in the perfume, I should review the school. It was there, I learned that when studying fragrance, the most important part is to train its olfactive memory. What you do is that you start smelling ingredients and all natural oils and molecules that are used in fragrances. You learn to recognize them, memorize them, and you learn to assemble them anyway. It also learns a lot about culture and history, different families of fragrances and olfactive families, and technical aspects of fragrances: main notes, dry low. It is a fairly complete training. Before going to Isipca, I was tolerated that I owed some basic studies in chemistry, I have to admit, that was not really mine. But for what I do every day, it is more artistic, more creative. Intuitive.

The fragrance is very subjective, and we all have personal preferences on how we use them. For me personally, my favorite place to spray an aroma is in my chest: two, three spritzes. But then, it also branches in the type of fragrance, because some fragrances are more intense, others are more subtle, such as a skin aroma. I know someone who likes to spray his fragrance on his ankles because that is the correct level of aroma that is not an alleged. Of course, the neck is another very popular place, and I think it is very beautiful when a fragrance persists in clothes. Bring a little memory when you return to [the clothing] The next day and you smell a little.

Buying blind fragrances online is something that I think is very interesting because it happens a lot today. When doing that, the first thing that is likely to do is listen to those who trust, as an influencer whose taste and beliefs respect. The other way is to look at the brand. What is the brand? What does the brand mean? In general, when you like a brand, its products, and its style, and any DNA that has the brand, your chans to find a fragrance within that brand you like are higher. As a perfumer, that is really the most important piece for me. I have to understand the brand, understand the client and what to look for that client. And that lends itself to the creation of the fragrance.

When it comes to the new fragrances of Glossier, Rêve and Doux, the common factor between Glossier You and the new ones is the Ambrox, the musk background: the comfort piece you are. Working at Rêve and Doux was extremely exciting, but also a bit challenging due to your success. What I tried to do is capture the same atmosphere. We talk a lot about what Glossier represents, and we talk a lot about that to be a skin aroma. It is a fragrance, yes, but it also allows you as a person to shine. And although we use some notes that are also used in you, they are really different fragrances. Doux focuses more on forests. There is sandalwood there and violet. It is more earthy, something that is very raw, and personally I believe that the wooden notes will always keep it on the ground: the tree that is connected through its roots towards the earth. The mood of mood was a lot of fun: it was serenity and being serene; Feeling strong and empowered.

And then Rêve, the feeling there is more about trust, and something a bit more fundamental, reassuring. He is also a dreamy, with more joy and pleasure. Glossier is not necessarily the child or the brand where you think of gourmands and sweetness, but we were trying to find a way to do it on purpose, a callmand called but without being sticky. Using, a touch of a note or plum of roasted almonds, some edible notes, brings pleasure and the meaning of the community. The mood of mood was about camaraderie and connectivity: the shared experience of being together.

It would have to say that the propagation began to work in the fragrance franchise, which [one of our muses] It is definitely Emily Weiss. I mean, she represses values in fragrances, and they are certainly her creation. And another muse is actually my daughter. My daughter loves the brand, products and loves the fragrance, is very excited. So, I think I definitely see her as a brighter girl. “
