“I grew up in Sydney, Australia, and I was very lucky in high school reserving a great acting work in IntactThe 2014 film directed by Angelina Jolie. My role was completely cut at the end, but the work made me Los Angeles and helped me get my visa. I made some other movies, but honestly, when I do not passionate a project, it is difficult for me to give it the attention it deserves. That is all to say that it was not what I wanted to do, but I knew that I always loved to cook, I only had a food blog when I was younger. Then, a friend of mine who planned to open a coffee asked me to create his breakfast menu. I spent months doing that, but nothing happened with that concept because coffee never opened. But it was the first time I developed professional recipes and made me realize that I wanted to do more, so I became a private chef. While throwing these incredible dinners, more people began to hire me. One thing led to the next and opened my catering and production company, Sophie’s Table. Our events sit between 10 and 300 guests in Los Angeles and New York.
I have been lucky enough to work with brands such as Rhode, Sezane, Oddli, Obebella de Bella Hadid and Sephora. What is really special is that, in addition to allowing me to make food that I love, these events give me the opportunity to create beautiful landscapes. When I worked with Thuma, the bedroom furniture company, we created an ice tower; We design food trays that coincided with the color of its wood, which felt very poetic, and we had a florist to create incredible designs with plants. At the menu level, since the company is based in San Francisco, everything was inspired by the city. The theme was “Sourdough”. We had shellfish, or course: oysters and skewers of salty tomato vinegar with carrots in Iraqi pickled carrots. The carrots were inspired by my dad. Growing up, we always had this great bottle of pickles in the refrigerator that my father constantly filled with food remains. My dad also has a catering company, so it was a full circle moment to include one of their dishes in a project or mine.
Skin care
I have a dry skin that sometimes becomes a bit red and full of potholes, so I try not to use too much in it. Sometimes I only spring water on my face in the morning. If I use a cleaner, it is the Biba newspaper of Sousa. Lately, I have been spraying with Goldfaden MDS Mist RX, it’s great after having made my makeup, also before making a serum layer of the skin of merit. My skin really absorbs it. I have dark -eyed circles quite natural that looks a bit sunk, and I don’t like sleeping so much, so I always look tired, but I really believe that Goldfaden’s bright eyes concentrate. Then I apply the great moisturizer of the skin of merit or the supernatural rich cream of Emma Lewisham and let it dry. Emma is also from Australia. She also has this fantastic illuminating body oil that is slightly tan and leaves me very bright. And I do my best with sunscreen. Some of my makeup have SPF, but when I am not using one with sunscreen, I like the spf 30 tone of Lessee, which are really light thesis that let me feel fresh. Ah, and the only lip mask that I like is the wrapping of Ilia’s lips. I am quite reluctant with the balms because they usually make my lips dry even, but I love using a thick layer of this in bed and I always wake up with soft lips. And that’s all. I do not get facial treatments, Altoth, I want to start, and I don’t Botox. The only time I got the lip filling, panicked and dissolved it two weeks later. I think I went a bit for the board and my lips felt full of potholes. By the way, the lip filling hurts so much. He felt as if they were drilling my lips. And then dissolve it? Just as painful.
MAKE UP
I always keep my skin quite minimal, but I love the peel serum base in Clear half. It gives me some coverage, but it really leaves my skin feeling that it is still my skin and not as if I was using a mask. It also has SPF 50. The corrector Saie Slip Tint is not heavy either. I use shadows 3 and 5 Depding in the season. I use it mainly in my eyes, but I also use it to cancel any redness in my skin.
Rhode pocket blush in Freckle It is so beautiful in the apples of my cheeks. I also like that my lips look a little blushed instead of well -lined and this is the perfect product to achieve it. Otherwise, I love the characteristic lip of merit in CourtA warm brick color, everywhere. Its slippery shadow in Bleeding It is also beautiful.
One thing about me: I love a heavy eye and an eyebrow. Chanel’s Brow Powder is incredible. Continue quite slightly so you can build it as much as you want. I have tried some others that were too weak, but with this, I can add more and still have control over intensity, so I never go feeling that my eyebrows are two completely different colors or shapes. You really can’t fuck him. Meanwhile, any old liquid eyeliner will do it, although I recently tried the NYX epic ink eyeliner and I am obsessed because it is easy to put and hard forever. I have tried so many success that lasts two weeks before fading or drying, which makes it so difficult to make clean lines. I always go for a brown tone. But as for the mask … never use it. I find it really difficult to eliminate, and I don’t have many tabs, so I don’t need to put them through the drainer.
Hair and fragrance
I cut my own hair, which I learned with confidence and instinct, and many bad haircuts. [Laughs] Sometimes it is the best cut: friends asked me to comb myself because I understand it well. I just had a friend who asked me. I remember that she told her probably should not because she depends on her appearance, but in the end she was very happy.
To wash, use the shampoo and conditioner of Davines Momo. They smell very well, and I like the way my hair feels after using them. I also recently obtained the shampoo and the UNI moisturizing conditioner and so far I am a fan. And the issue of the crown is essential. I have a lot of hair, but it is really well, so it can be really nudous, so special when I am in New York and I use a jacket. I feel better to have some kind or ‘protection’ in it.
Serge Lutens discontinued Jeux de Peau for so long, but I am very happy that they have recently brought him back. They will disagree with me, but I think it smells like corn palomites. [Laughs] There was also a utility when I smelled it for the first time. It is so unique and has become my favorite smell. At home, I like to burn Piñón’s incense because I love a smell of wood and smoked. But I love the smell when I make a giant chicken broth and leave it in the stove for 12 hours. “
