The cabinet security committee discusses and debates the defense policy, spending and all national security matters for India. It is also the highest decision -making body to appoint the heads of national security agencies.
The meeting included the main leaders, including Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh, the Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, the Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman, and the External Affairs S. Jaishankar, who were part of the committee. The National Security Advisor, the Secretary of the Cabinet and the Secretary of Defense also attend the meetings.
Meanwhile, today, the Minister of Defense, Rajnath Singh, presided over a meeting with the NSA Ajit Doval, the head of the Marshal of the Air Force AP Singh and other officials to discuss the security situation in the region.
“The meeting discussed all the issues related to the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Today early, HM Amit Shah visited the affected area of Baisaran Meadow, where the attack took place. The minister of the Union first brought an air stock in the region when he reached the site by helicopter, descending to the meadow now with the scars of violence, earlier in the day.
The National Agency for Investigation (NIA) also visited the attack site to support the Jammu and Kashmir (JK) police to investigate the attack. It was one of the greatest terrorist attacks in the region after the abrogation of article 370 in 2019.
The security forces launched search operations to track the responsible terrorists. Security has been persecuted since the attack.
