One of the few trends in social networks that I have resonated in the long term is the idea of being “high maintenance to be low maintenance.” The concept is simpler than it seems. In a nutshell, it is about investing in long -term beauty solutions so that their daily rituals feel without problems. Isn’t that all because of our routines and rituals? Something intuitive and personal that we have perfected time? While I enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the occasional shower of everything, the mornings of my dreams are not spent attending every detail of my appearance. I want reduced personal rituals that biased more minimalists than the maximista of a skin care routine to sympathization to a hair care ritual effortlessly.
On my way to achieve this, I have done everything, from laser hair removal (tedious goodbye shave time) to skin treatments in the office to reduce the amount of makeup I use. But it is more difficult to discover how to rationalize your hair routine without using only backs. Whether you, like me, have tight curls or finer threads, hair can be the most difficult part of your routine. But it is possible to adopt a minimalist hair care routine that still makes you feel safe.
I talked to Laina Killey, education coordinator and a licensed stylist in Malibu C, to discover how to elaborate a minimalist hair care routine that nourishes her beach with a simple style, just in time for the summer.

How to embrace minimalist hair rituals this summer
Summer is the best time to adopt a more carefree approach to all its rituals. I pick up my skin care routine with a moisturizing serum and sunscreen (at least duration of the day), and my daily makeup is usual a skin dye and a multitasking balm, some blows and ready! That effortless look, bathed in the sun. You can apply the same attitude to your hair.
What to know about summer hair
Hugging hair minimalism does not mean abandoning hair care. It is likely that your daily hair rituals do it enough to keep your hair clean. But your hair ritual can do much more simply for being intentional with your products.
“Developing a minimalist routine of summer hair care is about simplicity, protection and working with the natural texture of her hair,” says Killey.
In the summer, like your hair, exhibited in different elements, from the sun to salt at sea, you must be more diligent to keep your hair healthy. But it doesn’t have to be complex. The first step is to know what to address, and how.
How summer affects your hair according to the hair type
The main obstacles faced by its ideal summer locks are probably out of control. Heat and humidity come to all of us. So do contamination (yes, it affects your hair!) And salt water. Chlorine, copper and chemicals such as hair dye are also sabotizing their summer hair.
According to Killey, the different types of hair are affected by the season in different ways:
- Smooth hair: It becomes thicker faster. It can lose the volume and look flat or flaccid in high humidity.
- RWAY HAIR: Moisture can amplify the waves, making them more irregular and more rebellious. Heat can dry the ends, causing the hair to feel hard.
- Curly hair: It can be very prone to frizz due to the porous hair structure that absorbs moisture; Rizos can lose the definition and be swollen or without form.
- Mortal hair: You can shrink more notice in moisture, it can be fragile or get entangled easily if it is dry by sun exposure.
The best rituals for minimalist hair care
According to Killey, A MINIMALIST HAIR Care Ritual And-Free, and Manage-Free, and
She recommends a routine that begins with clarified treatments to free the hair of excess products, sweat and sea salt. Next, add a deep conditioning treatment to your regular hair care routine. Finally, use your choice of license -style products with moisture, UV and heat protection.
Step 1: Clarify and protect
The minimum summer hair? How often you have to wash it. But a good cleaning ritual is as important for your hair as your skin.
“Use a soft scalp treatment to eliminate sweat, sunscreen residues and products accumulation,” says Killey. “If your scalp tends to be dried or irritated in the sun, sprinkle in a protective and nutritious treatment (such as Malibu C B5 scalp, skin, revitalizing hair fog) to help calm and hydrate.”
Step 2: Prepare
To maintain your easy -style hair in the summer, you must keep it healthy. So, even if you do not comb your hair, you must protect it from the elements. Remember: The goal is not perfect hair, it is healthy hair.
Like the makeup application, a little preparation can contribute largely to maintain its fresh style all day. This does not have to take a long time. A fast spritz of a heat protector or that passes your fingers through its threads with a soft unbeliever could be everything you need.
Killey recommends that you look for “a light spray and UV protector that hydrates, displayed and protects the sun and heat damage.”
Step 3: Style
Here is the big one: How is your hair designed in a minimalist hair care routine? The key is to choose quality products. Most of us gain great 90 -style bursts or silky tiny silk dams, or even with a hair brush. The acceptance that summer hair will be less elaborate is the first step for summer hairstyle, but summer hair can have its own beauty.
Romantice the beach wave, slippery, protective style, braid and all other summer styles. The correct products facilitate that your hair holds a style while running from bisidity to enjoy the weather.
Tendency summer styles include:
- Beach curls: Use products to improve waves like aerosols and dry mousse to help your hair Dry in waves effortlessly. Use the Scrunch method: grab your hair from the bottom and wrinkles up.
- Back bun: A strong gel or ointment is your best friend in summer. They look together, without having to move away the flyers. Make sure your product is moisture proof. And keep it from Frizz with an anti-frizz spray.
- Braids: Braids are a great summer style due to their versatility. For each
Step 4: Experiment with hair accessories
The beauty of the summer is that summer hair accessories can be elegant. Goodbye to the hats and winter scarves, or the spring rain. Summer is the season of scarves and capricious headbands to keep hair out of your face. In the rare combination of fashion and function, hair accessories can maintain the tension of their hair in the summer months without compromising the style.
