Giants GM open to Travis Hunter playing offense and defense if they draft him

New York giants are open to allow Colorado to stand out through Travis Hunter plays on both sides of the ball if they end up using the third general selection in the NFL draft next week in the corner and the open receiver.

The general manager of the giants, Joe Schoen, said the duration of the press conference prior to the team’s draft on Wednesday that “he would not be afraid to play it on both sides of the ball.” Hunter has made it clear that he intends to play the offensive and defense in the NFL, CBS Sports Sports recently that his response to any team that tries to limit him is “never to play football again.”

Hunter not only won the Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious prize in American football, Hey also Tok at home with the best defensive soccer player of the Bednarik award and was selected as the Associated Press’s year player. He caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns, while making 35 cup, broke 11 passes and picked up four.

That has an NFL scout rating as the best open receiver and the best corner available in this year’s draft.

Even so, playing both ways in college is very different from the NFL, where Shoe said that mental demands could even be taxing Hunter as the physical cost to play most of the snapshots that take place during a game.

“The offensive is very difficult to learn and then the defense weekly, it is no longer the university, ‘hey, these are our basic plays, this is our basic defense and we will play at 3 h against Nobainas, he said.

“Then, how much can you mentally handle where you can leave and execute and you can trust you to do your job?”

Hunter insisted in an interview with the AP that was able to handle the load.

“He would, the child. It’s that kind of athlete,” Shoe said. “It has taken that type of production, the amount of snapshots that plays in a game, does not feel, approaches, take a glass of water and return to the field.”

The giants are not necessarily where Hunter will land.

They have temporarily solidified their field marshal room with Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Tommy Devito on the list, but they could be interested in a long -term solution, such as Hunter’s teammate, Shedeur Sanders. They could also chase the upper edge corridor, Abdul Carter de Penn State, who many consider the best Aviable player throughout the Draft.

“We feel that we are in a pretty good place. There is still some work to do, some loose ends are going to tie,” Shoe said. “We will still zooms with perspectives. We are not there yet. But we are close. I feel pretty good about where we are.”
