The former field marshal of the Miami Hurricanes, Cam Ward, seems to be ready to be selected by the Tennessee Titans with the number 1 team in the NFL 2025 draft, and it seems that Ward will be one of the first favorites of the costume.
Less than a week before the draft, Ward was playing Fortnite and the duration of the transmission, said bullish opinions about his possible teammates in Nashville. That includes receiver No. 1 of the Titans.
“Aj Brown is a dog, but it’s not Calvin Ridley,” Ward said.
Of course, the franchise changed to Brown, who spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Titans (2019-21), to the Eagles Philadelphia in 2022.
Ridley has totaled more than 1,000 reception yards in each of the last two seasons. Last season, the first with the Titans, Ridley put 64 receptions for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns in a 3-14 season for Tennessee. On the other hand, Brown, three times Pro Bowler, has averaged 87 receptions for 1,344 yards and eight touchdowns per season since 2022 for the Eagles, who just won the Super Bowl Lix.
As for other comments made by Ward, the field marshal categorized Treylon Burks, who has 53 receptions through his first three seasons of the NFL, as a first four player in his position, and also in the respect of the runners.
Ward, who was appointed All-American player and ACC of the year last year, was a finalist for the Heisman 2024 trophy. It totaled 4,313 air yards, a maximum of 39 TouchDowns of ACC, seven interceptions and a pin rating of 172.2 of the conference, while completing 67.2% of its passes. Ward also ran for 204 yards and four touchdowns and route to help Miami go 10-3.
In their more recently simulated drafts, Rob Rank of Fox Sports, Nick Wright and Joel Klatt project Ward to go first in general.
