The Freedom of New York, like the teams throughout the league, has begun to make cuts from the list. The WNBA defenders announced on Saturday that Eavel Kaitlyn Davis has been reduced in the first week of the team’s training camp.

Davis, whom Freedom wrote with Selection 35 in 2024, played at Columbia University for three seasons before completing its season at the University of Southern California in 2023-24. Averaged 6 points per game with 54.4% of shots and 5.8 rebounds in the USC.
The New York Liberty training camps now includes 14 players
Freedom currently has 14 players under contract, and they are expected to cut 2 or 3 more players before the deadline of May 15. The teams can transport up to 12 players, but generally choose to have 11 on their lists for cost savings reasons.

In the Draft of 2025, the Liberty selected the French Center attached Kane with the General National Team No. 38. Kane remains abroad and is not in the training of the team’s camp list.
