NFL mock draft 2025: Houston Texans select Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

4 Min Read

The Texans have been one of the most busy franchises in this low season, since they signed their fair part of new players in the free agency, delivered mass contracts to several members of their young nucleus and exchanged the left Tankle of Elite Larmy Tunnsil.

As things are, the offensive line is still one of the weakest position groups on the list. After exchanging Tunnsil, they have added several new guards and former Vikings and Jaguars, the left Tackle Cam Robinson. None of the guards really moves the needle, but Robinson is a replacement fine enough for short -term tensile.

So where are the Texans with their first round selection? Looking at the Texans list, the offensive line and the internal room of the supporter are the two positions that stand out more in terms of the need for help. The problem is that only an internal supporter obtained a first round rating this year and is currently off the board. If the Texans want to find a new second level defender in the draft, they must go to day 2.

If that is the case, then it is only a real position to choose here.

With the number 24 selection in the SB Nation Mock Draft, Battle Red Blogs Kenneth Levy is selecting the Texas offensive Tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., maintaining the most considered perspective in the Star Lone state.

24.) Houston Texans: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

Levy: Kelvin Banks Jr. Being available at age 24 was too good to be true. Banks is a three -year opener in Texas and was the anchor of an offensive line that can see the five recruited headlines. Its consistency, game force and foot game are elite in a class that lacks many true cups. Analysts transmit their potential on guard, but their height, length, lack of thickness of the lower body and the upper feet game would be disadvantageous with a movement inside.

Analysis: If the board ends up falling like this before the Texans selection, they have to run the card with the name of Banks. I think this is a sleep situation. I know the team signed Robinson to play the left Tackle, but Banks is a very good perspective not to be tasks here after a surprising fall. The Texans also signed veteran Trent Brown with a very cheap contract to start potentially in the right Tackle and if he recovers enough and remains healthy to play there, then you have a lot of bodies to find your best five initials. While I think that Banks’ skills set fits better as a Tackle, has a more than enough capacity to play guard and grow there if Houston determines that this is his best long -term adjustment with the team.

The five main players of Remego:

  1. James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee
  2. Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
  3. Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College
  4. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio state
  5. Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo

Ed Valentine de Big Blue View and the giants are back on the clock after changing again to the first round with the Vikings. They still need a new field marshal after moving to Shedeur Sanders before in the round. This choice to ensure the future of the franchise?
