NFL mock draft 2025: Rams select James Pearce, EDGE, Tennessee

4 Min Read

The Rams made an increase in the postseason in the postseason, where they eliminated the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings in the Commodines Round. Everything seemed to join for angels, since their young stars really seemed to reach their passage through the final stretch of the schedule.

Because of this, it is understandable that expectations are now and the fan base will look for them to be better in 2025. So where are they here in the first round? What position will they feel gives them the best opportunity to improve this season?

Well, without further ado, with the 26th selection in the SB Nation Community Mock Draft, Blaine Graisak of Turf Show Times is selecting the James Pearce Jr. edge corridor of the University of Tennessee.

26.) Los Angeles Rams: James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee

Grisak: This may seem like a strange selection since the Rams have just written Jared Fresh and also have Byron Young. However, Pearce joins the identity of the defense, which is the young pass. With fresh and young people in their place, the Rams can use Pearce as a passes corridor designated early as it becomes a full -time holder.

Analysis: I have to respect Grisak and the Rams for continuing to rely on this young and talented pass. They have the field marshal and offensive weapons on the other side. There is nothing wrong with largely investing in the position group that helps them recover the ball.

Pearce is a little less developed than most of the other edge corridors that are expected to go in the first round, but it cannot be discussed against the production and upward that it brings to a NFL team. It has the ideal length, but most teams will do it because it will add another 10-15 pounds to give the best opportunity to be a three-low player in the near future. With 245 pounds in its 6’5 picture, it already shows a surprising ability to turn the speed into power, but that same game force cannot be done not to do it constantly when playing.

In general, Pearce has an elite speed to surprise and blow blockers, but it is a little more handling than you would like, making it a very linear corridor at this time of its development. However, I think the Rams would not have a plan to make the most of it as a rookie.

The five main players of Remego:

  1. Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
  2. Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College
  3. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio state
  4. Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
  5. Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia

Our best ski border runner has left the board. The Baltimore Ravens are the following and a safe bet that they invest on the defensive side of the ball is likely after this unit had a lower performance in 2024. Will the best remote edge corridor end in Donovan Ezeiruaku? What happens to our best dating interior defender in Darius Alexander? Any of which would be a great adjustment with Baltimore, in my opinion.

To what degree do you give the election of Pearce to the Rams?
