Obviously I know Ball. That is why I detailed the potential draft robberies of the WNBA, the general managers who list me, and that is why the five players that I highlighted as large and underestimated players were recruited. Obviously.
Many of the WNBA recruited on Monday were robberies, but some of the third round selections in this year’s draft were especially intriguing.
Here is a reminder of how that round was:
- 26. Serena Sundell (Kansas St) – Seattle Storm
- 27. JJ Quinly (West Virginia) – Dallas Wings
- 28. Liatu King (Notre Dame) – The Sparks
- 29. Madison Conner (TCU) – Seattle Storm
- 30. Kaitlyn Chen (UCONN) – Golden State Valkyries
- 31. AARONETTE VONLEH (BAYLOR) – DALLAS WINGS
- 32. Zaay Green (Alabama) – Washington Mystics
- 33. Yvonne Ejim (Gonzaga) – Indiana Fever
- 34. Jordan Hobbs (Michigan) – Seattle Storm
- 35. Harmoni Turner (Harvard) – Las Vegas Aces
- 36. Taylor Thierry (Ohio state) – Atlanta Dream
- 37. Aubrey Griffin (UCONN) – Minnesota Lynx
- 38. Adjaja Kane (France) – New York Liberty
All the players of Sundell, Chen and Hobbs were players I wrote could be possible robberies last week. Esndell was invited to the draft and had to wait until the third round to be recruited, slipping a lot, but finally landing in Seattle, where his talent will be noticed. As a game teacher, the Sindell style fits the basketball brand that is known that Seattle plays.
Chen was another player who was in the draft, but at the audience to support his teammate and not. 1 Choose Paige Bueckers. His teammates celebrated her what her name was called and could upload to take a photo with her shirt, wearing a little surprised to say the least. Chen exceeded the UConn championship in the Mother of Madness March, showing his versatility as a shipowner and his ability to stay fresh under pressure. She will receive a chance in a new Valkyries team where she has a good chanance as does any third round to make the expansion team list.
Hobbs is a player who is also expelled in the postseason, scoring 28 points in his career in his secondary game for Michigan in the tournament. She can shoot the three ball, pass and she is a great worker. She also has the engine, determination and affects the game in several ways. The Seattle training camp is a great place for her to cause an impression in the WNBA.
Other players in this third round that could be interesting to follow Aubrey Griffin, Harmoni Turner and Yvonne Ejim.
Griffin was another player sitting at the audience while he was recruited. Griffin, another Paige Bueckers teammate, played six seasons in UCONN after taking into account the injuries. It is possible that he has not resorted so many minutes in recent years, but every time Griffin steps on the floor, he finds ways to have an impact through rebounds, defense and other hustle areas.
Harmoni Turner won the Becky Hammon Mid-Mojor player Award on his way to bring a Ivy League championship and a position in the NCAA tournament this season. Covering the term “Nerds can also wait”, Turner is a cube. He had several 40 -point games this season and will join Las Vegas Aces for the training camp.
Yvonne Ejim is an international player outside Canada who played for Gonzaga at the university and has a lot of experience. She has played at all levels for the Canadian national team, bringing that international experience to her game. EJIM is a player of the year of the Conference of the West Coast 2x, the defensive player of the year and the player of the year of Becky Hammon Mid-Mojor in 2024. He helped Canada win the bronze in FIBA Women’s America in 2023.
With the WNBA continuing to expand and create more points on the list, more players will have the opportunity to make lists, so these third round selections should not be ignored when thinking about possible rookies to take into account this season.
