Abdul Carter only knows what Giants numbers he won’t be wearing

A year ago, Malik Clouds was news when he expressed that why wear Jersey. 1, and the giants did not withdraw that number to give it to their first round selection.

A year later, another first round selection is contemplating which number will use in its rookie season, and not long after the giants did not. 3 General election, Abdul Carter said what digits have their eyes.

“I have a number in mind … no. 56 sounds very good,” Carter said during the night of Thorsding to Micah Parsons of the cowboys in the Bleacher report.

Or course, number 56 belonged to Lawrence Taylor and that is a retired shirt, with the height of the Taylor Hall of Fame as the best player in the history of the giants and, in the minds of many, the best defensive player that the NFL has seen.

Carter is certainly aware of Taylor’s greatness, as when he visited the giants in a previous visit to the Draft, he published a photo of Taylor that is on the wall of the equipment installation.

Carter returned Friday to the giant facilities and the shirt’s question appeared again. Hello no. 11 in Penn State, and that number, used by Phil Simms, is also removed by giants.

“We are still in that process, but we’ll see what happens,” Carter said.

“We’ll see what happens,” he said.

Last year it was a great Sovprise when Clouds, an open LSU receiver, requested to use number 1, which was removed from Ray Flahaerty, who played for giants in 1929 and again from 1931-35.

The giants and clouds requested and received permission from Flaherty’s family to a-right No. 1.

Carter said he hopes to meet Taylor, calling him the best defensive player of all time.

“I just want to follow his steps, knowing how great he was,” Carter said. “I just want to pursue greatness and I know he was the best, that’s what I want to pursue.”
