Washington-Gary Shapley, who became a popular hero of conservatives when he revealed that the Department of Justice played favorites in his investigation of former first son Hunter Biden, was expelled from his rale as an interim commissioner of the IRS who just raised to be a percentage of beings that rise to the post Friday.

The Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, has replaced Shaley with the deputy secretary of the Treasury, Michael Faulkender, after a power struggle with Trump’s key advisor, Elon Musk, for the appointment.

The reorganization was first reported by the New York Times.

But Besent felt out of decision making and asked President Trump if he could install Faulkender.

The interim commissioner will only be in force until former Republican congressman Billy Long can be examined and confirmed by the Senate to direct the tax collection agency.

“It is no secret that President Trump has gathered a team of people who are incredible passionate about the problems that affect our country,” said White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, in a statement.

“Disagreements are a normal part of any healthy policy process and, ultimately, everyone knows what they serve at the pleasure of President Trump.”

Shaley, who last month was used as Besent’s main advisor, was appointed interim chief of the IRS after the departure of Melanie Krause, who resigned due to disagreements with the secretary of the Treasury about the exchange of fiscal information with the department of Patria.

While Krause left the IRS on Tuesday, Shaley remains in a senior position in the commissioner’s office despite being removed from the upper interim paper.

Musk had been publicly attacking Besent before Shaley’s apparent degradation.

On Thursday night, the CEO of Tesla and Spacex published in X in response to the provocative of the right Laura Loomer that Bessert’s meetings with an alleged “Trump Hater” earlier this month were “worrisome.”

The attack line occurred after Loomer had a White House meeting that precipitated the mass dismissal of several employees of the National Security Council due to the lack of loyalty perceived to the president’s agenda.

Musk had backed the current Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick for the role of treasure, criticizing Besent as a “choice of business as usual.”

Lutnick, on the contrary, “and real change,” Musk wrote in X before Besent nomination.

Shaley and his complainant partner of the IRS, Joseph Ziegler, had testified to Congress in July 2023 that the Department of Justice of former President Joe Biden had slowly walked a criminal investigation of his son Hunter and blocked his investigation.

Among the condemnatory statements were that the American lawyers appointed by Biden based in Washington DC and Los Angeles had refused to present charges against the then son of the first first, while the then lawyer assistant of the United States, Lesley Wolf, discouraged the investigators to search for lines of questions related to Joe Biden, saying at a time that “there was no specific crime.”

The publication has communicated with the Treasury department and a Musk representative to comment.
