Mitchell Robinson comes through for Knicks off the bench

The Knicks did not have Mitchell Robinson for the last six postseason games last year.

On Saturday night, he showed his value.

The 7 feet foot came out of the bank to mugar six points, six rebounds, two blocks and a robbery in 18 minutes of quality when the Knicks recovered for a 123-112 victory, game 1 on the pistons in the garden.

Coach Tom Thibodeau used the cities of Robinson and Karl-Anthony together at one point in the first half, and worked well.

“The size, I think, is good,” said Thibodeau. “I thought that Mitch Duration that Stretch made some really good defensive plays, in the room too. The theft he had, the game was quite tight, and that was a great play. He makes plays like that help to inspire the team, Igite the team, Igite defensively, I think it was very good.”

Leaving left ankle surgery, Robinson appeared in just 17 regular seasonal games.

But no one will remember that if it can produce as it did on Saturday.

The Knicks were really with all their strength when the playoffs started.

The rookie Ariel Hukporti, whom the Knicks wrote in the second round with selection No. 58 last year, was available for game 1.

It was the first time that Hukporti was available since February 26 after undergoing surgery to repair a meniscus torn in his left knee.

He suffered the duration of the injury his first and only career in the 110-105 victory over the 76ers.

It did not appear in the Victory Opening Series over the Pistons.

The 7 -foot foot played in moderation before the injury, but sometimes it served as a great useful and physical body from the bank.

That could be useful against a hard team of the Pistons if Towns, Robinson or the beautiful Achiuwa need a break or entering problems.

Hukporti played in 25 games in the regular season, averaging 1.9 points and two rebounds per game.

“It has simply been a gradual accumulation, so it has just cleaned it,” said Thibodeau.
