Russia regained Kursk control, the border region surpassed in a surprise raid for Ukraine last year, said President Vladimir Putin.

“The adventure of the kyiv regime has failed completely,” Putin said on Saturday, according to the reports.

Kyiv did not immediately respond to Putin’s statement.

The Ukrainian troops were still operating in Kursk, said the general staff of the Ukraine Armed Forces on early Saturday.
