Vince Vaughn fell in the Oval office on Friday, becoming the last celebrity to pass through the White House of President Trump, and gave the social media team some material worthy of memes.
The official White House account in X had a little fun with the visit, publishing a false movie poster called “Crasshers of the White House”. The image showed Vaughn and Trump on the resolved desk, riffo the role of the actor in the 2005 comedy Wedding crrashers.
The visit was at the president’s public hours, and the White House did not suffocate any official explanation.
Vaughn, 55, has been opened about his political inclinations. In a profile of the New York Times magazine last year, they were called libertarian and said he is a “more believer by allowing people to make decisions.”
“I prefer to say that people make their decisions, and can make different decisions and have the consequences of their choices,” he said.
This was the first time that Vaughn and Trump have crossed. The two were seen chateating in the National University Football Playoffs game 2020. After a violent reaction, Vaughn minimized the moment, saying that it was his first meeting.
“In my career I am with many politicians with whom I have always left cordial,” he told the Los Angeles Times later that year. “I do not have a party that supports and supports. In fact, for me it is sometimes to spread a candidate who believes that he is philosophically consistent and not only go along with who is financing his private party.”
He does not return to what he brought to Vaughn to the White House this time: nothing from the actor or the president’s team have commented on the visit.
Since he returned to office in January, Trump has welcomed a colorful line of athletes, celebrities and conservative icons to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
